The Woman and the Idea

Independent philosopher, constantly inspired, mother and lover.
Maybe a couple of ‘traditional’ words about me. Bettina M. Kreissl Lonfat, studied philosophy and French at the University of Basel (Switzerland), post-grad studies at the universities of Fribourg (Switzerland), Sorbonne (Paris, France), Geneva (Switzerland) and Zurich (Switzerland, collaborated on various national and international research projects etc. etc.
I could – for the sake of completeness – list how much funding I’ve acquired  which projects I’ve worked on, with how many of the biggest influencers in my field I have worked etc. These recurring etc.s could be filled with ease. But here, I want to do something different. Here, I want to just be about inspiration. About inner paths, about finding someone that can give word to the unexpressed, someone who sees concepts where others might just give a standard solution that usually is a pathway to a ‘can’t do it’ or ‘you need to change’.

Yes, I am an independent philosopher and after quitting the  carrer path at university, I have decided to found my own agency. I have often been confronted with an
amused smile when asked about the nature of my ‘agency’. My reply was true to my nature: one that hasn’t been thought of before. Often the first tip after that was (from people that know my polyvalence and spirit of openness): be sure that you limit your offer or nobody will take you seriously.
No. I don’t want to limit my offer, because that would mean that I would have to limit myself. I want to create a market for a universal way of dealing with inspiration, writing, publication and communication. As a philosopher seeing both sides of an argument or problem is my second nature and seeing things in a more universal way is closer to my heart than the predominant way of dealing with project realisation and management.
During my work at university I have edited medieval texts, translated from Latin in different languages, typeset critical text editions and debated in various forms, formats and languages. As an author since my teen years, I have been writing for a long time in German, English and French and have been blogging in either of these languages for the last 10 years. The social web (aka web 2.0) has been with me from its early beginnings.
I know what I can do for your and your project. I know that I can inspired you so that you may realise that certain idea that has been with you for such a long time, so that you may give it form and make it real.
